H. WILBUR ROY (Apr. 11, 1909 - Nov. 7, 1991) SHAWNEE -- H. Wilbur Roy, 82, Shawnee, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 1991, at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Mr. Roy was born April 11, 1909, at Tescott and had been in the Shawnee area since 1941. He was an auditor at the Department of Agriculture for 20 years, retiring in 1976. He also had been coach and teacher in several Kansas schools. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge, the Historical Society, all of Shawnee, and the Retired Federal Employees. Survivors include his wife Agnes, of the home; three daughters, Sandra Dreier of Newton, Sharon Vojtko of Leawood and Marilyn Roy of Shawnee; a brother David of Minneapolis; two sisters, Virgie Burnett of Bozeman, Mont., and Wilma Baker of Abilene; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Shawnee United Methodist Church. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to the church or the American Heart Association in lieu of flowers. The Amos Family Funeral Home, Shawnee, is in charge of arrangements. |
